Prom: What To Avoid

Don't spend too much money!
You're most likely only going to wear your prom dress one time, so don't feel like you need to spend a fortune!

Less is More!
You don't need to cake on tons of makeup for prom and spending a lot of money on a manicure is unnecessary. You're going to be dancing and your makeup might run and nails will be chipped.

Watch Your Jewelry!
If your dress is super sparkly, you don't need a ton of jewelry to compliment it. If you have a more plain dress, bold jewelry can help spice it up!

Tanning
Make a choice between if you want to tan in the sun or if you want to get a spray tan, but don't do both! If you choose to get a spray tan, don't overdo it and turn orange. If you go tanning, we suggest going for several short sessions rather than one long one.

Picking a Corsage
Let your date know what color and what type of flower you would like, but don't pick out the exact corsage you want because they may not be able to afford it. If you give them an idea, they'll be able to find something you love within their price range!

Tips to Finding The Perfect Dress

Go in with an open mind
Have an idea of what you want in mind, but don't feel restricted to just that type of dress. Use your original idea as a base, but don't be set on one specific dress.

Try different ranges of styles and colors
You might think you want a certain color or style, but something else could look better, so make sure you try on a variety of dresses!

Make sure you can move
Don't get something too tight to your body because you won't be able to move and you won't be able to dance with your date.

Don't let other people tell you what you like
This is YOUR dress, make sure you love it!

Need a Prom Date?

Every girl dreams of being asked to prom in a special way.

How should you ask?

1) Think about what your date likes
Whether they like cupcakes or music, there's something that you can do to relate how you ask to a
      hobby they have
2) Come up with a creative way to incorporate what they like
3) Go to their house, a sporting event, meet them at their car after school, whatever you want and
give them what you made and hope for the best
